Kontex of Imabara, Japan, have been producing exceptionally soft and beautiful towels of a supreme quality since 1934. The secret lies in the process. Instead of using fast, modern machinery, each towel is made from loosely spun threads on traditional, slow-moving looms. The gentle treatment of the cotton fibres results in a softer cloth. The finished fabric is then washed in naturally filtered glacier-water from Ishizuchi-san mountain.
Our choice of Kontex for our hotel is an example of our love of details.
Huset är framtaget av Nirvan Richter som här har skapat en plats skräddarsydd för goda samtal och social samvaro, med omtanke in i minsta detalj.
