We have an ongoing love affair with Japan. That’s why you’ll find linens from Kontex in all of our rooms.

Since 1934, in the Japanese region of Imabari, Kontex has been crafting luxurious organic cotton bath towels, hand towels and washes cloths.

Instead of using fast, modern machines, each towel is made from loosely spun threads in traditional, slow weaving machines. The textiles are then washed in fresh spring water from the melted snow of Mt. Ishizuchi, ensuring every thread has been naturally purified and is free from impurities. This artisanal approach means Kontex towels are as soft as cashmere yet durable enough for everyday use.
