Vetra Workwear

Vetra Workwear

Founded by Edouard Beerens, Vetra has been the clothing brand of choice for French workers for four generations.

Starting in 1927 in his mother’s old sewing studio, Edouard founded Vetra, a workwear collection for men.

Demand quickly grew. In 1939 Vetra made uniforms for the French Army, but when the Nazi’s invaded, Edouard cut the uniform into pieces and destroyed his machines, refusing to work for them.

Vetra survived the war and continued to grow, pushing boundaries and developing a reputation for quality, comfort and sturdiness. Today, Vétra, true to its values and roots, is distributed in specialist stores in more than twenty countries, including Örum.

We love the details in well made everyday things – the commonplace objects that are uncommonly good. 100% made in France in its own workshop, Vétra is one of those things. And with its high standards of practicality, design, and rich heritage, we feel like we’ve met a kindred spirit.
